Introducing our MG1CS163 ECU optimization for the Audi RS3 8Y and Formentor VZ5 with 2.5TFSI engines producing either 400PS or 390PS, engine codes DNWB and DNWC. As the leading tuner of these cars in the Czech Republic, we've implemented enhancements that significantly improve the driving experience. All modifications have undergone long-term testing and are the best available on the market.

Features of all stages:

  • Power up to 520PS depending on the stage and fuel
  • Pops & Bangs with overrun crackle (optional)
  • Fuel maps for 98, 100, 102 octane
  • Raised RPM limiter
  • Removal of speed limiter
  • Permanently open flaps in Dynamic mode
  • Free revving in P and N
  • Elimination of wastegate rattle
  • Cold start removal (optional)

Stage 1: ECU optimization for a stock vehicle. Expected power on 98 octane fuel is 480PS.

Optional hardware:

  • Sports intake or sports filter

Stage 2: Maximum power from the stock turbocharger. This stage achieves up to 550PS with 102 octane fuel.

Required hardware:

  • Sports catalyst/Decat/OPF delete downpipe
  • Intercooler kit
  • Sports intake with enlarged turbocharger inlet

Wastegate rattle fix: We've resolved the annoying rattle of the turbocharger bypass valve in the range of 1250-3000 RPM. Now you can enjoy the typical 5-cylinder sound even at low RPMs without unpleasant noise.

OPF delete: The particulate filter is perhaps the biggest sound killer for 2019+ models. We can remove the OPF filter both software-wise and hardware-wise.

GT Flasher Remote Tuning Tool: We now offer the GT Flasher remote tuning tool, which allows you to perform ECU tuning from the comfort of your home. This tool makes it easier than ever to apply our optimized settings to your vehicle without needing to visit our workshop. With the GT Flasher, you can:

  • Download and install ECU maps
  • Switch between different tuning stages
  • Perform diagnostics and data logging
  • Restore the vehicle to stock settings

How the modification process works: This modification requires ECU unlocking, which is included in the price. The ECU already installed in the car can be unlocked, or a new cloned ECU can be provided.

Modification process for the existing ECU:

  1. Perform a complete vehicle data scan with GT Flasher
  2. ECU removal and sending for unlocking (7 days)
  3. Installation of hardware parts (optional)
  4. Software modification of the unlocked ECU with GT Flasher through OBD socket

Modification process for a new ECU:

  1. Perform a complete vehicle data scan with GT Flasher
  2. Order a new unlocked ECU. You continue driving with the original ECU in the vehicle (7 days)
  3. Installation of hardware parts (optional)
  4. Software modification of the unlocked ECU with GT Flasher through OBD socket

The original ECU remains in your possession in case you wish to return the vehicle to its original state.

 

Modifications in Detail:

  1. Torque Enhancements

    • Torque Table Calibrations: Refined requested and permitted torque maps for optimal performance.
    • Torque Monitoring: Sanity and threshold recalibrations to maintain reliability.
    • Torque Reporting: Matched torque values within specifications and driver requests.
    • Torque Display Gauge: Recalibrated for accurate readings, reflecting real-time output.
  2. Boost Optimization

    • Boost Pressure & PID Calibration: Retaining factory predictive algorithms while perfectly matching actual and requested boost levels.
    • Boost Display Gauge: Adjusted to reflect maximum permitted boost of 1.8 bar for Stage 2 calibrations.
    • Boost Diagnostics: Advanced adjustments for seamless operation under high-pressure conditions.
    • Diverter Valve Adjustments: Optimized for higher boost targets, ensuring efficient turbo management.
  3. Sound Tuning

    • Emotion Start Enhancements: Amplified pops during prolonged start button presses (3–4 seconds).
    • Overrun Adjustments: Fuel cut pops and burbles fully active in Dynamic/Individual modes, subtle in Comfort/Economy.
    • Gearshift Sound Improvements: Enhanced fuel cut overrun for a more dynamic shift sound.
    • Negative Ignition Maps: Fine-tuned for perfect pops, burbles, and optimized launch control soundscapes.
  4. Fueling & Lambda Adjustments

    • Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP): Duty cycle and threshold recalibrations.
    • High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP): Rail pressure thresholds and PID adjustments for seamless fuel delivery.
    • Lambda Adjustments: Enrichment maps recalibrated for enhanced component protection and efficiency.
    • Injection Timing: Extended for DI and MPI injectors while maintaining safe thresholds.
  5. Ignition & Knock Protection

    • Ignition Tables: Individual mode-specific recalibrations for various fuel grades and hardware setups.
    • Cold Start Adjustments: Tailored for alternative fuels, balancing sound and performance.
    • Knock Protection: Recalibrated maps for 95/98/100/102 octane and E85 fuels, ensuring robust pre-ignition safeguards.
  6. Exhaust System Calibration

    • GPF/OPF Catalysts: Available calibrations for OEM and upgraded filters (including HJS).
    • Motorsport Exhaust Systems: Optimized for track use, with or without sensor connections.
    • Temperature & Regeneration Thresholds: Tailored for high-performance applications.
  7. Top Speed Adjustments

    • Vmax Calibration: Top-speed limiters recalibrated for road or motorsport use, with optional cruise control integration.
  8. RPM Limit Customization

    • Max RPM Limit: Adjusted for setups up to 7200 RPM, gearbox permitting.
    • Neutral/Parking RPM Limiter: Typically set to 5500 RPM to prevent misuse.
  9. Optional Tweaks

    • Start-Stop Default Off: Automatically disabled at startup, with manual activation via MMI.
    • Exhaust Flap Control: Fully open in Dynamic/Individual modes when set through MMI.
    • Thermal Management: Engine runs cooler under load, with improved coolant flow and fan speed profiles.
    • Throttle & Engine Response: Enhanced for sharper acceleration and dynamic handling.
